This was especially important as we were preparing to move to a new area in Bedfordshire. Before our baby had even arrived, we had found a group or people to experience birth and beyond together.<\/p>
Those early conversations about birth plans and baby scans, often decorated with the word love<\/em> and tiny hearts, quickly grew into something deeper. Late-night feeds, questions about routines, and the shared joy of every small memory became easier because we weren\u2019t navigating them alone. The friendships we formed through NCT didn\u2019t fade after the newborn stage; they became a lasting support system that extended well beyond babyhood and 3 years later we are still all meeting up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p> Alongside those friendships came small but powerful pieces of knowledge, insights that shaped how we approached parenting from the very beginning, not to mention a funny story or two. One of those insights stayed with us and eventually sparked an idea that would change how we thought about baby learning altogether.\u00a0<\/span><\/p> One of the most fascinating things we learned through preparing for our first baby is this: newborn babies see the world very differently to adults<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p> In the early weeks of life, a baby\u2019s eyesight is still developing.
